IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR COURSE PARTICIPANTS AT DHAMMA BODHI
DHAMMA BODHI is a very serious meditation place and people from all across the world attend courses here to learn the ancient technique of Vipassana. For a successful course, it is utmost important to be mentally and physically healthy and follow all instructions with correct understanding. Be determined to complete the course fully. Kindly go through these instructions written below for preparing for your stay here for the entire duration of the course:
1. You will receive a pdf as attachment in with your confirmation email.
Kindly bring a printout of this PDF (Single Page - Front and Back) when
you come for the course.
2. Please carry a photo identity document like Pan card or Aadhar Card (For Indian Citizens) or Passport and Visa (For non- Indian citizens). In case of International students, the visa must be valid till the end of the course.
3. Please arrive on the starting day before 2:00 p.m. Please do not arrive on the previous day. In case you are unable to reach before 5.00 pm, kindly inform us about your arrival time, failing which your confirmation may be cancelled.
4. Kindly read the code of discipline carefully before arriving at the centre. Admission to the course is subject to the participant abiding by the code of discipline.

6. In case, you are unable to attend the course, please inform us about the same immediately. If you would like to cancel your course application, please click on the cancellation link mentioned in confirmation letter.

7. LAUNDRY SERVICE: IS AVAILABLE during the course.
8. HEALTH ISSUES/ INTOXICATIONS/PREGNANCY:
- All health issues, intoxication history and pregnancy must be mentioned on
your form. In case you wish to get the details updated, kindly inform the
centre upon your arrival. If you are on medication, please bring enough
stock of all the medicines which you require during the course. Only
emergency medicines are available at the centre like fever, cough and cold,
etc.
- Those with any serious physical and mental health issues, must cancel
their application immediately and apply for a later course date with
permission from a doctor
- Those habitual of taking intoxicants (tobacco in any form, alcohol in any
form, Marijuana, LSD and any other drug forms) must completely abstain from
the same atleast 15 days before sitting/ serving the Vipassana course. In
case you fail to comply to the above, kindly inform the centre and cancel
your application for this course and seek admission for another course. This
is for your own benefit.
- At the Centre only first aid is available and in case of any health issues, the student will have to leave the course and seek medical help in Bodhgaya town/ Gaya district.
9. BASIC NECESSITIES: Please bring the following items in addition to other
personal items of daily use in adequate quantity for the entire duration of
stay at the centre-
- All personal toiletries(soap, oil, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc)
- Water bottle, Torch,Mosquito repellent/cream, alarm clock if required by
you
- Toilet paper rolls, in case you need them
- Umbrella/ Raincoat in the monsoon season (June to October) and winter wear
like jackets, socks, cap, shawl, sufficient woolen clothes (November to
February)
10. You will be responsible for safeguarding your personal belongings for the entire duration of your stay at the Centre. Please note that you will be requested to deposit the following items with the Center Management during the course in a locker (keys to which will be handed over to you till course ends).
- Cell phones & other personal electronic devices, smart watches
- Reading/writing material, musical instruments
- Personal food items, tobacco in any form, non-prescribed drugs
- Religious or spiritual objects
- Jewellery or other unnecessary valuables
11. CLOTHING: Must observe the rule for the modest dress as outlined in the
Code of Discipline. Must refrain from wearing shorts, sleeveless tops, and
transparent, tight, or revealing clothes during the course. Also, please do
not bring perfumes or scented shaving lotions to the course, as its use may
disturb other fellow students during meditation.
12.
Overstaying facility and early arrival facility at the centre is NOT
AVAILABLE
. Those traveling to Bodhgaya from outside the local area may find
comfortable and economical stays in Bodhgaya town.
13. Travel assistance can be provided by some local old students by
contacting the following numbers - (Sumant +91-8757406423, Lali Devi
+91-8294294112 for auto pickup/drop off from station/temple/airport, Mukesh
+ 91-9939602403 for taxi services). Kindly note that these old students are
trying to help the Vipassana students out of gratitude and service. Phones
may not be reachable all the time. In any case, frequent auto/taxi services
are available at Gaya Railway station, Gaya airport, Bodhgaya town at
reasonable rates. Kindly avail them for your benefit. For more information

15. Dhamma Bodhi Centre Management will always have the rights to remove any student/ server from the course and campus anytime, as they may deem necessary. You should cooperate with them if such situation arises.
